Where We Live
-
Camp Myrtlewood has five rustic cabins that can house 5-15 people each. All cabins have bunk beds, overhead lights, fans, and radiator heaters. Some cabins have outlets and single beds.
-
Our site has multiple restrooms with toilets, sinks, and running hot water in the showers. All are within easy walking distance to the cabins/ common spaces and several will be designated as gender neutral restrooms.
-
There are a number of beautiful semi-private spots for tents and car camping set-ups on the property. Camping is an alternative option to cabins for anyone able to bring their own gear!
Where We Dance
-
Our main classroom is the multifunctional Dining Hall, where communal meals & social dancing also occur.
-
Forrest Dell is our secondary classroom. Smaller than the dining hall, it easily accommodates ~20 dancers during classtime, and more for our evening history presentations.
This space is great for lounging or small group practice time.
-
An outdoor option for practice sessions, filming videos, or hosting pop-up social dances during the week.
Where We Hang
-
This comfy corner of the dining hall is a fan-favorite spot for conversations, tea time, and communal naps.
-
The secondary kitchen is for attendees, with a refrigerator to store person food. This is also where late night snacks shenanigans take place.
-
Camp Myrtlewood has amazing outdoor common spaces, including multiple covered porches.
-
A creek runs along the edge of the property with a large sandy swimming hole, private rocky banks, and plenty of opportunities to see crawdads and newts!
-
Amazing hiking trails of various difficulties wind through the site. Climb 3 miles to the top of Vista Point for amazing views, or take a casual stroll along the creek or to the campfire circle.
